Reading some of the reviews by people who've had the chance to play the game early it sounds like the gameplay is really fun but the story is cheesy.

Hopefully it's not as cheesy as they all claim it is.

Oh gosh. When I think of cheesy, I think of romance.

Very Parmesan romance.

Since I'm now able to play games like this (bought myself a Wii on Saturdayish), I'm definitely looking to get into this series. Not too worried about the story being cheesy (too shallow for that haha), as long as the gameplay is bang on, which it looks it, I'll probably get this too.

Will be pretty odd seeing as how the last Metroid game I played in the series was Metroid II on Game Boy!

Metroid II on gameboy was considered one of the worst wasn't it? :L I can't remember, I did have it though. I still have no Wii, no job and no permanent home. But my friend chris, has a Wii. So I'll probably get to play the game and the new Zelda :D

I've also been playing on his 360, it's not my favourite console, but it gets the job done if I'm dieing of boredom.

I played Prime 3 a few days ago. It's rather fun, and very innovative. The original NES game looks interesting.

Metroid Other M comes out here today!
I'm so excited!  I'm going to go pick it up after school today.
I saw the awesome US commercial on TV for the first time last night too.  There's just something about seeing it on TV instead of the internet that makes it twice as exciting.

I never actually got around to playing Other M. I heard it got less than favourable reviews D: I'm still out of a Wii to be perfectly honest, but I plan to pick another Wii up sometime next year :)

Other M is going for twenty dollars on Amazon right now.
I'm going to start over and play through the game this month to say I've finished it.

Just played through and beat Other M today.

It is a MUCH better game than I originally thought!
It's quite the adventure.  Very fun gameplay.

The weakest part of the game is the story, but once you look past the parts that bother you even it isn't bad.

All in all I am very pleased by this turn of events for me and my Other M experience.
Next step is to get 100% items.

I have purchased both Varia Suite and Expansion Pack. :D
They're good cds.  I think I like the free online ones better however.

Utterly amazing Metroid song remix album.  Get it NOW!
With Zelda getting all the attention for its 25th anniversary (it's Metroid's 25th as well) it's nice to see fans haven't forgotten Metroid.

Another good set of free song remixes released for Metroid's 25th.  Harmony of a Hunter is better in my personal opinion, but this one is worth listening to as well.

I listend to the Shinesparkers one a while back and it just didn't do it for me. Metroid does deserve a 25 year anniversary I agree on that. I don't know what it was about the remixes. None of them really shined to be perfectly honest >.<

Don't get me wrong I love metroid music! Just yeah, everyone has an opinion :P
